Child Safe Policy
Esslemont College is committed to providing a child safe and child friendly environment, where children and young people are safe and feel safe and are able to participate in decisions that affect their lives.
The College regards its child safeguarding responsibilities with the utmost importance and is committed to maintaining a child safe culture and to providing the resources required to ensure compliance with all relevant child protection laws and regulations.
Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 (NSW);
Children’s Guardian Act 2019 (NSW); and
Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 (NSW).
The College Child Safe Policy has been developed taking into account the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations development by the National Office for Child Safety and the NSW Child Safe Standards as articulated by the Office of the Children’s Guardian.
Codes of Conduct
The College has developed Codes of Conduct which detail expectations of behaviour for our students and those within our community.
Whistle-blower Policy
Esslemont College does not tolerate corrupt, illegal or other undesirable conduct and do not condone the victimisation of anyone who intends to disclose or has disclosed misconduct. The Esslemont College Whistle-blower Policy aims to protect the interests of a person making an eligible disclosure about misconduct within the College.

Esslemont College handles personal information in accordance with their Privacy Policy which is published on this website.
